So, I'm working on my first Warmachine minis, Cygnar, and I'd like to do something different.
So I'm working on a Tarnished Bronze scheme (Inspired by the Verdigris tutorial here on BT)
The problem I'm coming across is trying to find other colors to go along with the Green & Bronze.
The story behind the army is they're the Bronze Battalion, a Ceremonial army that guards the capital. When the war with Khador started they were pushed into service.
Any help would be appreciated... I love the idea and the look but I'm pretty much stuck as to where to go from here.
[EDIT] Please see my most recent post for update.

I like black as a contrast to bronze. But black is hard to shade

. I would say white, but that'd make them close to Protectorate - and we can't have that now, can we?
My other suggestion would be to work traditional Cygnar Blue into the mix somehow - maybe as a trim colour - just to reinforce their Cygnaran heritage. I also like a dark brown with green, but I may be biased as that's what I'm painting my Khadorans

Maybe take a look at some of the colour theory posts on the main BT site - or look up some online colour wheels and see what springs to mind.

Adding Cygnar Blue as an accent color would give visual interest and reinforce their heritage as LazyPeon suggested. Blue works well with green & bronze, the green being a cool color and bronze being a warm (usually) color.

Yeah, the Blue does NOT go with it... I've already tried. The problem being that that shade of green and the Cygnar blue are very much not complimentary.
My main choice was going to be an off white but I want to avoid that for the reason you mentioned.
Looking at the color wheels, Brown may not be a bad choice...
I really like the concept and the way the tarnish came out and I hate to lose it.

What green are you using?

Rather than place the blue on the green, put it on the bronze instead? Just a thought.

It's a kind of Seafoam looking blue green that I mixed up.

The green is ON the bronze...
http://blog.brushthralls.com/wp-content/up...verdigris_3.jpgI want the 'jacks to look like that but with the look that they kinda splashed some colors on them when they got sent out into the field.

I can see now what you're aiming for. I'm not sure what would go with those colours, its fairly strong itself. I'm thinking more towards the tans/khaki/whites now. While Cygnar is famous for it's Blue - it also uses Gold/White. Perhaps some gold trim might work?

Okay so I've, sadly, ditched my color scheme.
This is the new scheme

The tertiary metal is going to be the bronze but probably without the tarnish.

Honestly, it is a bit "cookie cutter" for me. I liked that you were being bold with making a completely alternate painting scheme. Stick with it your original...The turquoise of the tarnished bronze would go well with a burnt sienna brown...I feel that a burgundy would complement it well too.

I considered both those colors and rejected them for being too close to typical Khadoran colors...

In the latest NQ, it looks like one of the staffers is doing an army similar to this (it's khador but the colors line up) if you have yet to paint a test model this will give you a good idea of what it'll look like on metal.
