Has anyone ever tried to duplicate the red-orange-brown in Dead Dogg's Cygnar army in the "Color Theory 102" article? I'm trying to figure out what colors he used. I work in Citadel and Vallejo colors. Anyone have any ideas? I'd really like to try this. The blue I can figure out, but with that primary color, I'm kinda lost.

I did these before P3s, and when I was doing some funky testing with different brands...

Base of Reaper Griffon Tan, washed with Reaper Woodland brown, then some bold highlights on all the main hull plates with half Reaper Griffon tan and Half GW Bleached bone. A few layered washes that go progressively from the original Reaper Griffon tan, to the Reaper woodland brown, and while getting darker, keeping it more and more to the darker edges and then an ink wash of GW brown ink and water very lightly in just the dark areas, then hit hard with brown ink in only the deepest recesses and lines, then highlighting the razor edges with GW bleached bone.

It could be more simplified honestly. I'd consider using a base of P3 rucksack tan, a deeper mid/warm brown and highlights with the bleached bone or Menoth white base. Let me know if that helps or if you have any other questions on.

Why is a peanutbutter and jelly sandwich that much better, whenever its cut diagonally?
